Mondariz, 25 April 2011.- Aguas de Mondariz, the mineral water company, is part of the "Hotel Marco" project. This innovative project consists of transforming one of the exhibition areas of the museum into a hotel room for different purposes. The starting point is the very structure of the location, its connotations and that fruitful dialogue between private and public space. This work, created by Michel Lin, the international artist, and rvr arquitectos, and under the aegis of the Vigo Museum of Contemporary Art, has the backing of different partners, including Aguas de Mondariz.

Aguas de Mondariz will be the water served to the “Hotel Marco” guests, whether they be the artists who stay there or members of the general public who can book the room from 18 May onwards. The design for the Michael Lin room has sought to create a room where the guest can experience simple luxury, well-being and comfort.

From its opening on 8 April until 18 May (International Museum Day), the “Hotel MARCO” project will be open to the public as an exhibition area during the usual museum opening hours. From 18 May onwards, the “Espazo Anexo” will begin to be used as a hotel room, which can be reserved by members of the general public. Any person or entity interested in booking the room or checking availability can do so through the Museum (www.marcovigo.comvigo.com).

Aguas de Mondariz is present as a differentiating element within the room. The history of this single-spring water dates back 137 years and its roots are linked to the Mondariz mineral-medicinal water spa and bottling operations. This water, which is between 80 and 150 years old, is synonymous with well-being and purity. It has won many international awards and accolades over the years thanks to its quality and taste.
