Since 1998, the galician water filler AGUAS DE MONDARIZ, has taken steps to reduce plastic in their bottles and closures. AGUAS DE MONDARIZ was the first water spring to convert the PVC bottle to PET, keeping always ahead of the technology and environmental commitments, by producing their own PET preforms.

The total bottle lightweighting during last 10 years has been 10%.

Last step was the neck finish weight reduction through the 29/25, 2 years ago. Now, they have chosen the BERICAP’s HexaLite® 29/25 solution to convert 2 filling lines before end of 2010.

Begining 2011, we successfully convert the 3th filling line, getting the complete production of this PREMIUM WATER BRAND.

The main reason to explain this step, is the good performance of the closure from the final user’s feeling. The easy oppening of the Hexalite® caused a notorious change, which was the key of the new marketing campaign through the 6 1,5L bottles pack:

“Now, a new and environmental friendly closure, easier to open”, and a very special colour for a bigger image impact: gold, according the label details.
