The image of Xacobeo 2010 shall be present in all actions that Aguas de Mondariz carries out in the 27 countries in which it operates.

The Regional Minister for Culture & Tourism, Mr. Roberto Varela, and the Director General of Aguas de Mondariz, Mr. Javier R. Losada, have today signed a collaboration agreement in Mondariz that makes Aguas de Mondariz the first company to sign the official sponsorship of Xacobeo 2010.

This agreement makes Aguas de Mondariz the official water supplier at all acts held during 2010 to commemorate the Holy Compostelan Year.

Aguas de Mondariz will be contributing 500,000 Euros towards sponsorship of the event and commits itself to actively collaborate in the promotion and spread of the Xacobeo event and link its commercial activity and its corporate image to that of Xacobeo 2010. The company shall advertise and promote the Xacobeo event via different means (glass bottles, PET bottles, boxes, labels, paper, packs, publicity, etc) over 2009 and 2010. It is estimated that the value of such promotional publicity amounts to an investment of more than 12 million Euros.

The Xacobeo 2010 logotype will be present in all promotional campaigns and on all bottles distributed by Aguas de Mondariz until the end of 2010.

The Director General of Aguas de Mondariz, Mr. Javier R. Losada, highlighted that “it is an honour for Aguas de Mondariz to be the official water of Xacobeo 2010 and also to be the first company to sign sponsorship of this event”. “We are confident that the Xacobeo event will be a revitalising element for the Galician economy and we would like to do our bit” he said.

The promotional activities carried out by Aguas de Mondariz on the occasion of Xacobeo 2010 will mean that the event will reach 27 countries in which the company operates. The company is participating this week in an International Fair ‒ Africa’s Big Seven, that is being held in Johannesburg, with a stand which already exhibits the image of Xacobeo 2010.
