Aguas de Mondariz has six bottling lines: four for plastic bottles and two for glass bottles.

Mondariz was the first Spanish company to replace PVC bottles with PET (polyethylene tetrapthalate) bottles. The full recyclability of PET (100%) and its lesser weight makes it one of the most suitable materials for the conservation of the environment.

The glass bottling line has introduced measures for improving resource optimisation in order to eliminate all formats that are costly from an environmental point of view, wherein the weight/water content ratio is high.

Several measures have furthermore been taken over the past years by the company to introduce improvements in its bottles and packaging to promote sustainable development:

   - The weight of the bottles has been reduced over the last 10 years by around 10%.

   - Paper and ink consumption for labelling has been reduced by 55%.

   - Many actions have been carried out since 1998 such as reduction of colours, weight and size of boxes.

   - Size of bottle caps has been reduced to fit in with a 20% reduction of plastic consumption.

   - Consumption of PET has been reduced by more than 10%.

   - Reduction of transportation emissions.
