Experts from the Research Institute Water and Health declare in their last publication “Mineral Water in Childhood” that the consumption of mineral water benefits children digestion and growth up, due to the fact that it conserves properties (because of its pure origin) that are not in the potable water from the metropolitan supply nets.
This conclusion comes from the research made by the specialists of the Institute in collaboration with experts of the Spanish Pediatric Association (AEP in Spanish), which affirmed that in the boiling process some important components are lost, so they recommend the use of natural mineral water, even in hot food.
According to the Institute Water and Health, the constant composition of bottled water is another one of the differences with the tap water. It allows preparing food and baby food, not only with a nice flavor but also with a contribution to children nutrition and hydration.
Specialist remind us that for a correct development process of children under eight years old, they should drink 1.8 liters of water a day and, from nine years on, 2.5 liters a day.
